How it works
- Choose a test or package in the online shop and pay online.
- Select a sample collection centre from the list (addresses and opening hours are available in the blood tests near you section).
- Attend in the morning after fasting, bringing your identity document and purchase confirmation. No referral (a formal request for testing from a doctor) or doctor’s appointment is required.
- Receive your results online, usually on the same or next working day. Specialist test results may take several days.

What determines the price of a laboratory test?
The cost of a test depends on the method used (simple biochemical tests such as glucose or creatinine, immunoassays, hormone and vitamin tests, and genetic and specialised tests); current prices are shown on BadamySie.pl. It also depends on whether the laboratory performs the analysis on site or sends the sample to a reference laboratory, and on how you purchase the test. Buying online before sample collection is usually cheaper than paying at the collection centre. Within the same laboratory network, the online price is the same regardless of the city or collection centre.
NFZ-funded tests or private testing?
A GP (general practitioner, known in Poland as a POZ doctor, or primary care physician) can order a range of basic laboratory tests free of charge under the NFZ (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia, Poland’s National Health Fund, which finances public healthcare). These include a full blood count, glucose, lipid profile, TSH, creatinine, liver function tests, urinalysis and other tests covered by primary care services. However, this requires a doctor’s appointment and a referral, while some tests (such as vitamin D, ferritin, sex hormones and tumour markers) are not included in the standard primary care testing range or require a specialist referral. Private testing may be worthwhile when time matters (for example, if you need results by tomorrow), when a test is not covered by primary care, when monitoring supplementation or when arranging preventive tests without symptoms that a doctor is not necessarily required to order.
How to pay less
- Choose test packages instead of individual tests if you need 3 or more investigations.
- Combine tests into a single blood collection appointment: separate visits require additional preparation and take up more time.
- Check whether your GP (POZ doctor) can order some tests free of charge, and pay privately only for those not covered.
- Do not repeat tests more often than recommended: a lipid profile and TSH once a year when results are normal, and ferritin and vitamin D after 8–12 weeks of supplementation.
