Opieka nocna i świąteczna: po polsku →Нічна допомога: українською →
NiŚOZ (nocna i świąteczna opieka zdrowotna — night and holiday healthcare) provides medical and nursing care outside GP surgery opening hours: Monday to Friday, 18:00–8:00, and around the clock on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. There are currently 31 points in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, with the largest numbers in: Rzeszów (4), Łańcut, Jarosław and Rudna Mała. Below you will find the full list with addresses and phone numbers, rules for using the service and information on what to do if the duty doctor recommends laboratory tests.
When to use night and holiday healthcare
NiŚOZ is intended for people with a sudden illness or deterioration in health that is not life-threatening but cannot wait until their GP surgery opens: fever, infection, a sore throat, earache or abdominal pain without warning signs, vomiting and diarrhoea, a flare-up of a chronic condition, or the need for an injection prescribed by a doctor or a dressing change. There are no catchment-area restrictions and no referral is needed: you can attend any point in Poland, regardless of where you live or which GP surgery you are registered with. The duty doctor provides advice at the healthcare point, by telephone and, where medically justified, at the patient’s home. You need an identity document for the appointment; insurance cover is checked through the eWUŚ system.
If there is an immediate threat to life (loss of consciousness, seizures, severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, extensive burns, vomiting blood or signs of a stroke), call 112 or 999, rather than a NiŚOZ point. The free NFZ patient information helpline, 800 190 590, operates around the clock and helps you find the nearest point, but does not provide medical advice. Emergency dental care has a separate out-of-hours rota; the list is available on the NFZ website.

Has the duty doctor recommended tests? Have them in the morning without a referral
Night and holiday healthcare points do not carry out routine laboratory investigations: the duty doctor assesses the patient’s condition and recommends the next steps, while blood tests (full blood count with differential, CRP, glucose, electrolytes, liver function tests, urinalysis) usually need to be done the following day. You do not need to wait for an appointment at your GP surgery or have a referral: you can buy tests online at BadamySie.pl and have them done in the morning at your nearest ALAB, Synevo or ETER-MED collection point, then access the results online the same or the following day and show them to your GP. The result report is issued in Polish.
Tests after a night-time doctor’s appointment, without a referral (full blood count with differential):
- Basic blood test package – full blood count with differential, ESR, glucose, cholesterol, ALT, urinalysis
- Preventive health test package – a check after an infection or before a doctor’s appointment
- Anaemia test panel – full blood count, ESR, iron, ferritin, B12
Buy online at BadamySie.pl, have your blood collected without a referral at one of over 800 ALAB, Synevo and ETER-MED points across Poland, and access your results online. Collection point addresses: blood tests near you.
Blood collection points in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship: blood tests in Rzeszów (13 points).
