Opieka nocna i świąteczna: po polsku →Нічна допомога: українською →
NiŚOZ (nocna i świąteczna opieka zdrowotna — night and holiday healthcare) provides medical and nursing care outside GP surgery opening hours: Monday to Friday from 18:00–8:00 and round the clock on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. There are currently 17 centres in Opole Voivodeship, with the largest numbers in: Opole (4), Brzeg (2), Ozimek, Krapkowice. Below you will find the full list with addresses and phone numbers, access rules and information on what to do if the duty doctor recommends laboratory tests.
When to use night and holiday healthcare
NiŚOZ is intended for people with a sudden illness or deterioration in health that is not life-threatening but cannot wait until their GP surgery opens: fever, infection, a sore throat, earache or abdominal pain without warning signs, vomiting and diarrhoea, a flare-up of a chronic condition, or the need for an injection prescribed by a doctor or a dressing change. There are no catchment-area restrictions and no referral is needed: you can attend any centre in Poland, regardless of where you live or which GP surgery you are registered with. The duty doctor provides advice at the centre, by phone and, where medically justified, at the patient’s home. You need an identity document for the consultation; your health insurance is checked in the eWUŚ system.
In a life-threatening emergency (loss of consciousness, seizures, severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, extensive burns, vomiting blood or signs of a stroke), call 112 or 999, not a NiŚOZ centre. The free NFZ (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia — Polish National Health Fund) Telephone Patient Information service on 800 190 590 operates round the clock and helps you find the nearest centre, but does not provide medical advice. Emergency dental care has separate duty rotas; these are listed on the NFZ website.

Has the duty doctor recommended tests? Have them done in the morning without a referral
Night and holiday healthcare centres do not carry out routine laboratory testing: the duty doctor assesses the patient’s condition and recommends the next steps, while blood tests (full blood count with differential, CRP, glucose, electrolytes, liver function tests, urine test) usually need to be done the following day. You do not need to wait for a GP appointment or have a referral: you can buy tests online at BadamySie.pl and have them done in the morning at your nearest ALAB, Synevo or ETER-MED collection point, then access the results online the same day or the following day and show them to your GP. The result report is issued in Polish.
Tests after a night-time doctor’s consultation, without a referral (full blood count with differential):
- Basic blood test package – full blood count with differential, ESR, glucose, cholesterol, ALAT, urinalysis
- Preventive health test package – a check-up after an infection or before a doctor’s appointment
- Anaemia test panel – full blood count, ESR, iron, ferritin, B12
Buy online at BadamySie.pl, have your blood collected without a referral at one of over 800 ALAB, Synevo and ETER-MED collection points across Poland, and access your results online. Collection point addresses: blood tests near you.
Blood collection points in Opole Voivodeship: blood tests in Nysa (2 collection points), blood tests in Otmuchów, blood tests in Paczków.
