BadamySie.pl: how to get blood tests in Poland without a referral, for expats and visiting families

Ask anyone who has tried to get a simple blood test through a GP in the UK or Ireland, or through a US insurer, how long it took and what it cost. Now compare it with this: choose the test online, pay, walk into a collection point in Poland the next morning, read the result on your phone a day later. That is what BadamySie.pl does, and it works the same whether you are an expat living in Warsaw, a Polish family visiting parents in Rzeszów, or a tourist in Gdańsk who wants to check a ferritin level before going home.

What is BadamySie.pl?

BadamySie.pl is a registered Polish healthcare provider (register RPWDL) and an online shop for laboratory tests, diagnostic examinations and medical consultations. It has operated since 2020 as the continuation of sklep.etermed.pl, Poland’s first online test shop, launched in 2013. Tests are performed by partner laboratories and clinics at more than 900 points across Poland, including the ALAB and Synevo networks and ETER-MED clinics. The shop is available in English, German, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish.

Why it makes life easier

  • No referral, no insurance. Commercial lab tests in Poland do not require a doctor’s referral, a Polish GP registration or NFZ insurance. You decide what to check.
  • Prices you can see before you buy. Every price is shown in Polish zloty and is the same at every collection point in the country. You pay by card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal; your bank handles the currency conversion.
  • Buy for someone else. Many customers abroad buy tests for parents in Poland: you pay online, your parent gives blood near home, and the result is available online. This is a built-in option at checkout.
  • Results any doctor can read. The result is a PDF with the laboratory’s stamp, issued in Polish, but parameter names, abbreviations and units are international (TSH, HbA1c, ALT, mg/dl, mmol/l). A GP in London or Chicago can interpret it without translation.
  • No rush. A purchase is valid for 184 days, so you can buy before your trip and give blood when it suits you.
  • Fast. Most basic tests are ready the next working day; specialised ones within a few days.

How it works

  1. On badamysie.pl/en/, find the test by name or symptom, choose the city and the collection point.
  2. Pay online. The order number arrives by e-mail.
  3. Go to the collection point during collection hours (usually mornings; most blood tests require fasting) with a passport or ID and the order number on your phone.
  4. At the collection point you receive an access code; view the result online with the code and your date of birth.

Popular tests

Full blood count, ferritin and iron, vitamin D, glucose and HbA1c, lipid profile, liver enzymes, thyroid panel (TSH, FT3, FT4), hormone panels for women and men, fertility and pre-pregnancy packages, children’s packages, allergy panels, pre-surgery tests. Each product page explains how to prepare.

Good to know

  • The phone line (22 1001 266, Mon–Fri 8:00–15:00) is in Polish. By e-mail ([email protected]) you can write in English.
  • The details in your order must match the document you show at the collection point; they are printed on the result.
  • The result does not include a doctor’s interpretation. Discuss abnormal values with your doctor.
  • Prices are in zloty; whether your home insurer reimburses tests bought abroad depends on your policy.

Where to give blood

Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, Łódź and hundreds of smaller towns: the full list is on the portal’s home page. For payment from abroad and documents, see blood tests in Poland for patients from abroad.

FAQ

Do I need a Polish PESEL number?

The shop lets you enter a date of birth and an ID document. How a collection point identifies a patient without a PESEL depends on the laboratory; if in doubt, e-mail [email protected] before buying.

Will the result be in English?

No, in Polish, with international names and units. Test descriptions in English are in the shop.

Can I pay with a UK, Irish or US card?

The shop accepts Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal. Prices are in zloty.

Can I buy a test for my mother in Poland while I am abroad?

Yes. Choose the option to buy for another person at checkout and enter her details; she gives blood at the chosen point and the result is available online.

Where can I get blood tests without a referral?

Blood collection centres with addresses and opening hours: Warszawa · Wrocław · Łódź · Kraków · Poznań · Gdańsk · Szczecin · Bydgoszcz · all cities.

Order your tests online at BadamySie.pl and have them done at a centre of your choice.
