Ni\u015aOZ (nocna i \u015bwi\u0105teczna opieka zdrowotna \u2014 night and holiday healthcare) provides medical and nursing care outside normal clinic hours: Monday to Friday from 18:00\u20138:00 and round the clock on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. There are currently 29 healthcare points<\/strong> in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a province, with the largest numbers in: \u0141\u00f3d\u017a (7), Kutno, Pabianice and Podd\u0119bice. Below you will find the full directory with addresses and phone numbers, how to use the service and information on what to do if the duty doctor recommends laboratory tests.<\/p>\n

When to use night and holiday healthcare<\/h2>\n

Ni\u015aOZ is intended for people who suddenly become ill or whose health deteriorates in a way that is not life-threatening but cannot wait until their clinic opens: fever, infection, a sore throat, earache or abdominal pain without warning signs, vomiting and diarrhoea, a flare-up of a chronic condition, or the need for an injection prescribed by a doctor or a dressing change. There are no catchment-area restrictions and no referral is needed: you can attend any healthcare point in Poland, regardless of where you live or which clinic you are registered with. The duty doctor provides advice in person, over the phone or, when medically justified, at the patient’s home. You need an identity document for the visit; your insurance status is checked in the eWU\u015a system.<\/p>\n

If there is an immediate threat to life<\/strong> (loss of consciousness, seizures, severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, extensive burns, vomiting blood or signs of a stroke), call 112 or 999<\/strong>, not a Ni\u015aOZ point. The free NFZ (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia \u2014 Polish National Health Fund) Telefoniczna Informacja Pacjenta (Patient Information Helpline) on 800 190 590<\/strong> operates round the clock and can help you find the nearest healthcare point, but does not provide medical advice. Emergency dental care has separate duty rotas; these are listed on the NFZ website.<\/p>\n

Night and holiday healthcare points do not carry out routine laboratory testing: the duty doctor assesses the patient’s condition and recommends the next steps, while blood tests (full blood count with differential, CRP, glucose, electrolytes, liver function tests, urine test) usually need to be done the following day. You do not need to wait for a clinic appointment or have a referral: you can buy tests online at BadamySie.pl<\/a>, have them done in the morning at your nearest ALAB, Synevo or ETER-MED collection point, then access the results online the same or the following day and show them to your GP. The result report is issued in Polish.<\/p>\n
