Ni\u015aOZ (nocna i \u015bwi\u0105teczna opieka zdrowotna \u2013 night and holiday healthcare) provides medical and nursing care outside normal clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 18:00\u20138:00, and around the clock on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. There are currently 41 points<\/strong> in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, with the largest numbers in: Wroc\u0142aw (4), Kamienna G\u00f3ra (2), Lubin (2), Wa\u0142brzych (2). Below is the full list with addresses and phone numbers, access rules and information on what to do if the duty doctor recommends laboratory tests.<\/p>\n

When to use night and holiday healthcare<\/h2>\n

Ni\u015aOZ is intended for people who suddenly become ill or whose health deteriorates in a way that is not life-threatening but cannot wait until their clinic opens: fever, infection, a sore throat, earache or abdominal pain without warning signs, vomiting and diarrhoea, a flare-up of a chronic condition, or the need for an injection prescribed by a doctor or a dressing change. There are no catchment-area restrictions and no referral is required: you can attend any point in Poland, regardless of where you live or which clinic you are registered with. The duty doctor provides consultations in person, by phone and, where medically justified, at the patient’s home. You need an identity document for the visit; your insurance is checked through the eWU\u015a system.<\/p>\n

If there is an immediate threat to life<\/strong> (loss of consciousness, seizures, severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, extensive burns, vomiting blood or signs of a stroke), call 112 or 999<\/strong>, not a Ni\u015aOZ point. The free NFZ (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia \u2013 Polish National Health Fund) patient information helpline, 800 190 590<\/strong>, operates around the clock and helps you find the nearest point, but does not provide medical advice. Night and holiday healthcare points do not carry out routine laboratory investigations: the duty doctor assesses the patient’s condition and recommends the next steps, while tests (full blood count with differential, CRP, glucose, electrolytes, liver function tests and urine testing) usually need to be done the following day. You do not need to wait for a clinic appointment or have a referral for these tests: you can buy them online at BadamySie.pl<\/a>, have them done in the morning at your nearest ALAB, Synevo or ETER-MED collection point, and access the results online the same day or the following day to show your GP. The result report is issued in Polish.<\/p>\n
